Principle

Once a M fit is determined, we can indicate a 0 or 1 card in a suit on our way to game or slam. In general, you need to be strong, and possess:

- 0-card: use PING-PONG

------ next bid if still on 2-level

------ other M if on 3-level

- 1-card: jump to 4-level

- all COs but no 0/1: 3NT: "partner, start COs"

------ note: this generally requires being +2HPs stronger than progressing with a 0/1 card, since there's no extremities in the hand layout.

Examples

/ 1 - 2: 7-9(10), 3+

/ PASS: 12-15, NF

/ 3: 16-17, no 0/1, NF

/ 4: 18+, no 0/1, NF

/ 2NT: Swiss, PING (next bid), 0-card, 16+

- 3: PONG, which 0-card?

/ 3: 0-

/ 3: Swiss, 16+, 1-

/ 3NT: 18+, partner, start control (CO) bids

Extra rules

If Swiss has been bid and a 0-card has been indicated, cards in this suit are NOT counted or announced anymore once we start using RKC.

If a 1-card is announced, the A is counted when RKCing, the K is not announced.

Swiss is impossible after the 4-th colour convention

In case of an ambiguous 0/1 (you're not sure if partner has a 0 or a 1 card), and later entering CO-bids, then a CO-bid in a previously announced 0/1 card now must imply a 0-card

Example:

/ 1 - 1 / 1 - 3: 10-11

/ 4: 0/1

- 4: -CO, starting COs once a 0/1 has been announced

/ 4: a 1-card in and -CO

/ 5: a 0-card in and -CO

Notes on a fit in

After a fit, often a 0 or 1 card in is ambiguous (cannot determine for certain if it is a 0 or 1 card). don't have this issue.

Caution

/ 1 - 2: Swiss, 0-card, PING

/ 1 - 3: Swiss, 0-card, PING

/ 1 - 2: 12+, 6+
