Principle - Landy defense
a 2♣ bid after a (/1NT) or (/1♣♦) opening promises a (4)5+4+ in ♥♠.
Examples(/1♣♦1NT) - 2♣: 5+4+♥♠ - 2♦: which one?, F - 2♥: 5+♥4+♠ - 2♠: 5+♠4-♥ - anything else: NF Principle - Ghestem variant
Since 2♣ in defense is now Landy after (/1♣♦), we need another bid than the cuebid for the Ghestem (12+, 5+5+) in the extreme suits.We will use 2♦ for both of the situations (/1♣) and (/1♦) (/1♣) - 1♦: 5+♦, (6)8+ - 2♣: Landy - 2♦: 5+♦5+♠, 12+ (new Ghestem for the extreme suits) - 2NT: 5+♦5+♥ - 3♣: 5+♥5+♠ (/1♦) - 2♣: Landy - 2♦: 5+♣5+♠, 12+ - 2NT: 5+♣5+♥ - 3♣: 5+♣, 12+HP (the new ♣ follow bid) - 3♦: 5+♥5+♠ (new Ghestem for the highest suits)
